Hi Myra, I love your tutorial! It looks like so much fun to turn a frumpy looking sweatshirt into a classy looking jacket. I just might have to try that. It's getting colder here every day and having something nice to wear will surely warm things up a bit!

Thanks!

MGM

It must be a new, never washed, sweatshirt though....

Thank you for the wonderful tut! I have made a couple before, but I just did a bias around the edges. I didn't like how it turned out because it still kinda rolled on the ends. This way looks like it would work much better, with more fabric. Thanks! Great job!

thanks for this tutorial! When I'd first looked I'd thought the celtic knotting on your jacket had been bias tubes added to the surface -- I now unederstand that they are "peek through" of a fabric panel. Wonderufl idea...

I may have to try this one. I'd probably make the sweatshirt. I'm not sure I'd be able to cut into a new one. Lol.

That is the prettiest sweatshirt jacket I've seen! I love how the fabric peeks through the pattern. So pretty! x

Outstanding!! I made many of these several years ago, but had forgotten about them. Mom needed something pretty to wear so I found your tut. It is awesome, and much easier than the way I had done them in the past. Thanks so much!! Ruth
