Suggestions Welcome...

Another Gingerbread creation at out house Christmas Day...
Supposed to have been a Gingerbread House and Train...
We never know what they'll come up with!

I posted a crochet problem on my photo journal blog.
So many days spent getting it to that point... Sigh...
Take a peek and see if you have any suggestions for me...

Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!

2012 - To Simplify...

Blog cleaned up, stuff hidden in tabs,
and a more simplified overall look.

K I S S
Keep ISimple Silly
Changes:
Isn't that what a new year brings? We want positive changes, but we have to do our part in making the changes successful. Right!? ;)
Falling Behind:
I'd like to simplify things in my sewing/comp room, by doing a major clean out, organize projects in the waiting, line up & list all my PhDs, and get them done. DONE!!
I'll not be leading another PhD Challenge, until I get my committed PhDs from 2011 done,
and then it will be a "maybe". We shall see...
Homemaking:
I really need to keep up with book-keeping, put more effort into my household chores, and maybe get myself to like cooking/baking again? There, I said it! My homemaker confessions... lol...
Friends:
I haven't seen many of my long time friendships in quite a while, not on purpose, it is just that time has been flying by, with our lives changing so much in the last 2 years. Two daughters married, one darling grandchild in our lives now, and more in the future I'm sure. Things just seem to change. So, more visits/outings with friends are in order...
Exercise:
Ya right!?! Not even gonna touch that one! Speaking from experience here... lol...
My Blog
Been thinking a lot about the way I use my blog, and how long-winded I get sometimes. I know I really appreciate visiting blogs/posts "with photos" and a quick read. Some just have a knack for making posts that are quick and to the point, which I've been trying out on my photo journal blog, and am quite liking it.  So, I will be attempting to stick to such an example on this blog also, though there will be longer posts for tutorials and such periodically...
Time Management:
I've been spending way too much time on the comp, so I need to simplify/time-manage to fix that. I plan to limit hopping all over blog-land, a lot, and visit only those wonderful bloggers/followers that bless me with a much appreciated visit. This way, I will free up much time to be with the people I love, do my chores, and get more sewing done...
Responding to Email:
I still can't promise to keep up with my emails, cause that has been a constant struggle,
but will do my best to do better at responding...

I know this post is somewhat "long-winded",
but it is #one of my last 3 posts here for 2011.
I've got some organizing to do! ;)

I wish you all a wonderful Christmas,
and all the best in 2012!

Monday's fiber play...

A Thong Flip-Flop Bag, for one that wears
them from April to Nov if she can...
I screwed up on it, and spent the afternoon getting it fixed, but now it is done!!!

I then moved on to another Christmas Stocking. One for little Jackson's first Christmas... My "niece's" baby... Made a quilt for him back in July...
Applique pieces need a bit of tweaking yet,
but you get the idea...

Pop on over to The Needle and Thread Network to view more WIPS out there in Blogville, and if you are Canadian, perhaps you'll read up on what this blog is all about and do your part to make things happen...

What fiber fun did you have this fine Monday?
Happy stitching!

On my design wall today...

Playing with my D9P blocks made at the quilt retreat over the weekend.

The pink looks overpowering here due to the photo, but it isn't so in reality...
I grabbed a whole bunch of small print florals that were taking up space in my stash, to whip up a quick D9P to throw on the couch...

You can see other photos from the weekend in my previous post...

Make sure to go check out other design wall creations on the Needle and Thread Network, and if you are a Canadian quilter/fiber artist, become a follower there... Pop on over to Esther's blog too to see WIP links to other blogs..

Happy stitching!
