..... QUILTING FOREVER, HOUSEWORK WHENEVER .....

Donation Quilts

I made this raffle quilt, for the 1st Anniversary fundraiser of the Oakbank Catholic Church Formation Committee - Oct 2004
It was my 2nd ever made quilt top, and the first quilt I ever finished..

This is an ABC Quilt (Adults, Babies, Children Donation Quilts) I made in 2005. Our  Manitoba Prairie Quilter's Guild donates numerous quilts to the hospitals in our city for the sick...
Our Crescentwood Group made blocks for this raffle quilt from our home scraps, to raise funds for the community club that we hold our weekly gatherings in - 2006
Country Rose Group 2007 "Christmas Round Robin" - donated to the Costume Museum of Canada for fundraising... We were gathering there twice a week at the time...

Crescentwood Group - 2007 (forgot to take photo of quilt when completed. This photo is better than nothing!) Bento Box Quilt - Raffle donation for Crescentwood Community Club
Country Rose Group - 2008 "Path Through the Pines" - Raffle Quilt donated to Ecole Dugald School in thanks for letting us gather there twice a week...
Crescentwood Group - 2009 "Sports Sudoku Quilt" - Donated to  the Catholic School of Evangelization Camp and Retreat Center,
funds for children's summer camps. We were
having 2-3 quilt retreat weekends a year
there at the time...

This one is more of a gift than a donation.
One of our gals' (Jc) friends was without a home for a long while, and lost everything due to fire. So Jc rallied up us gals to make cat blocks for this quilt, and we presented it to her friend. Dec 2009
This quilt was also a group effort to present
to one of our gals that was in hospital with cancer. It was presented to Dp in Feb 2010.
She lost her battle in Nov 2010.
Dp is sorrily missed...
