Quilt Top Done!!! 8-)

A beautiful sunny, warm day today... Can you believe it!?! 17*C!!! This is really warm for up here at this time of year!! Typically we could have snow, that would stay by Oct 31st, though, with the climate changes all over the world, nothing seems to surprize me anymore... A beautiful day!!! 8-)

I had quilting friend J over early this morning for half a day of stitching, and as I was getting my "sewing area" set up in the dining room, I was moving my bobbins closer to the side of my machine and one went PLOP into my coffee. Friend J had a good chuckle for that one!!! Lucky it was the empty bobbin!!! Sheesh! Butter-fingers.... Thanks for the company J, and for the yummy banana bread!!! Mmmmm..... 8-)

Being so warm out, I should have had my coffee outside this morn, then I would not have dropped a bobbin in my coffee!!!

I finally have my boarders on my Holly Jolly quilt, though it still needs some trimming. But it's done!!! 8-)
On to one of my UFOs now, but which one!?!

I love that jolly quilt - I have some of those fabrics, too :)

It's been very warm here in Arizona still. I think summer is lasting longer than it did before!

Good job on getting the Holly Jolly split 9 patch done. Give yourself a pat on the back. As for your bobbin, well I dropped one on the basement floor recently and 3 of us were on our hands & knees lookin' for it but never did find it...maybe those Bananas in Pyjamas found it, prob'ly!

The quilt top looks lovely with the border on - have you decided yet on the binding?
I'm going to borrow your friend's PHD name for her UFO's - I love it! Sounds very intellectual. LOL!
I'm working through my own PHD's at the moment, but I keep straying to those new little projects that interest me...oh well, I'll never be bored.

Looks like you had alot of fun. The first thing I thought, when reading about your bobbin trouble was "oh no, hopefully not a full one" - glad it was empty! Your quilt is realy beuatiful, I love those happy colors. Enjoy the good weather, here is around 0°c, still wind and snow outside, I love it! :)

Where I live it is in the 70's today on Halloween. I had never heard of holly jolly. I will have to study that a little more.

I love the Holly Jolly quilt. I bought some of those fabrics last year and have a half finished quilt. I like the pattern you used better than mine!

The quilt top looks fabulous, I love the colours!

I don't think I've ever dropped a bobbin in a drink, but I did accidentally drop all my thread offcuts into a drink yesterday...

I've not lost any sewing implements in my coffee or my martinis! Now, I imagine I'll have lots! ;-)
