My soon to be Easter table topper...

Just thought I would show you all what I have been working on... Not totally pleased with the stitchings I did on it, but it will do... Off center, yadda, yadda... Though, I think it needs something else, but I'm not sure. I tried adding on a butterfly in one block, but it went wonky, thus I ripped it out...
And then I absent mindedly ripped off my stabilizer from the back... Duh!!! So much for trying out another butterfly... Unless of course I want to use a new piece of stabilizer...

Any thoughts that could help me along? Does it need anything else before I sandwich and quilt it?

PS: Hexagon Tute in post below... 8-)

Hey did you do that embroidery with your Pfaff 2056? or by hand? I like how it looks no matter how you did it.

As for quilting it, have you stitched in the ditch first? Then you can go in and do other quilting where you want....how about a floral motif of somekind?

It looks great Myra.As QGB says, let the quilting take care of the rest.If you keep going, you'll have a January finish. Yeh!!

I thought a floral motif might look nice too. Even if you don't, it looks good to me.

what about some of the yellow from the centre marking the edges of the blue squares at the corner... ? :-)

Looks great Myra! I really like how you filled in those big empty blocks. I just left mine and have the finished mini-quilt hanging in my sewing room on the wall.

I agree with Pg, let the quilting take care of the rest. Don't want to overdo it!

Hi Myra,
I like it! I would try a yellow peeper then a block width border again. But then it depends if you want it a bit bigger though. Or else some light coloured quilting in the darker blocks and border. Sometimes the procrastinating takes longer than the job when you can't get it just right.

It's great as is! If it is big enough, be a true artist and know when to stop!

I'm with Kh. Leave the top as it is and do some motifs in the quilting.
I think it's great

I think it needs another border of small,1x2inch flying geese in yellow and blue. Then take out the center block and make a lemoyne star to put there..hahahahahaha....
I love it just like it is. Great job!

Very nice as it is! The corners look like the Holy Spirit bird to me.
