I've lost my mojo...

So, emailing with Kh from Quilter Going Bananas today, she hit the nail on the head for me. I've lost my mojo... I just have no motivation for anything right now, thus you have not seen any quiltiness from me... I hope it returns soon, for all the commitments I've made and all!

Ruby sits like this on me often when sitting on the couch. Sometimes I have Dora on the other shoulder too... Bookends! 8-)

I've been alerted to another cute BOM through blogging friend Hazel. It is found at Angie's Bits 'n Pieces, it is called "Country Cups", an adorable little wall-quilt, and she has other interesting things to look through too! 8-)

You have put exactly what I have been feeling into words. I have ideas, buy fabric, just can't seem to get myself to the sewing table.

Fresh new year ~ a fresh start (sort of). LOL

Hope you get your mojo back soon (and me too).

All you need is to come across that one terrific piece of fabric or a particular pattern that has your name written all over it. It'll come back to you, it's just january blues!

OK Friend, SNAP OUT OF IT! The best thing to do to get your mojo back is to take a good, hot shower, eat a good breakfast, get in the car and drive to the best darn quilt shop in your area. Don't put it off!

If you can't do that, pour yourself a good drink of choice and surf the computer looking at slide shows from some of the biggest and best quilt shows. Get inspired!!! Then go to equilter.com and do what is necessary to get yourself ready to sew something new and fresh.

I hope you find your mojo soon! There are so many new things going on this January . . . pick your favorite and dive in. Lack of sleep is a good culprit to blame for lack of motivation . . . happens here sometimes also, plus the lack of sunshine! Take care of yourself and you'll be up and running in no time. - Marlene

This too shall pass. Just allow your mojo to take its little respite...and you will be back, refreshed and renewed and ready to conquer!

Well, the one thing you need to do to get your mojo, your creativity and your zest back is - let it come on it's own time!!

You need a break. That is why it's gone, it's making you take some time off. So now is the time to go for walks, take yourself out on a date, go do something you really want to do, but weren't sure if you should. Yup, you should!! Go get yourself that special coffee that you love but don't let yourself have very often. Get a magazine that you love and park yourself in a nice, hot bath and relax. Get yourself a DVD and watch something that takes you away....

What I am trying to say is, your energy cup is empty. You need to fill it up, by treating yourself. As you go explore new things, do things differntly, take time for yourself, you will find your creativity coming back. When is the last time you have taken a class to learn more about something? How 'bout taking one now??? Do you journal? If not, try it. The 'Artist Way' says to write 3 pages every morning - this is a way to drain your brain of useless chatter, but it also gets you thinking......

I know you will be back at it and loving it very soon. for now, enjoy the time with the 'bookend'! ;-)
