I knew it was going to be a stressful day today, thus got myself a good nights sleep last night.First thing this morning, after a shortened morning walk with the dogs, I brought my Ruby to the vets to get spayed. FINALLY, after 5 postponements!!! Why I am stressed about her being in surgery, is because I lost my first pug on the operating table just over a year ago...She was only 4 years old, but she was a sickly dog...
I just realized that our Ruby is 9 months old now!!! Wow, how fast the fur baby grows!!! Seems like just yesterday she was the pup under 2 pounds... In the photo here, Dora was about 23 pounds. Since getting Ruby, Dora has lost 3 pounds due to all the playing and running around the two do...
As far as work in the sewing room goes, I put the backing together for the anniversary quilt, and I am hoping to sandwich the quilt tonight at my Crescentwood gathering. It is easier to do when you can use the bigger tables there, than fuss with it at all home... and my cousin sent me the correct spelling of her grandson's name, so I also got the label done yesterday for the last baby quilt I made! Woohoo! I learned how to use my letters and the memory on my Phaffy. I did not a half bad job of it! Beats embroidering it, or writing it on....I thought I should stick another few photos of items I have made! We want to keep all quilters happy with colorful photos of quilty items!! Right!?! 8-)
This "Western" wall-quilt was made for my cousin and her husband's 25th anniversary 2 years ago, with the hand written label to the right. They are big time horse people. I believe they have it hanging in their bedroom... (I just realized that this wall-quilt is in one of my first posts... ?... Oh well! One of those hormonal moments I guess! LOL!) Below is a photo (not quite finished in the photo) of a "Fall" table-runner I made a few years back. This was a learning piece for me as I did not have proper teachings to use my rotary cutter, rulers, how to lay the fabric out for the cutting, and proper pressing. I also had not done any machine applique, so, my friend C volunteered to tutor me in these areas with this simple little table topper. I am forever thankful to her, as she often teaches me new things! Thanks C!!! You know who you are!!!

Ah...I remember too how much running I did after my little ones. ;-) I certainly didn't have to set aside time to work out. ;-)
