A Wonky Bits day - show and tell...

Today was a Wonky Bits day, as well as a drop Ruby off at the vets for x-rays day...

Good news about Ruby, it seems that the x-ray showed that surgery is not on the agenda any time soon. They did not have to sedate her to achieve a good picture. Yahoo! All we have to do is give her an anti-inflammatory for the next 4 days, and then as needed after that...
A thought came to me about something that happened about 5-6 weeks back. While DH was running on the treadmill Ruby jumped on and got flung against the wall... That could explain Ruby's problem with jumping up on things and slight problem going up the stairs... Also, once in a while Dora pushes Ruby off the back of the couch. She falls in the 9-12 inch space between the couch and the window, another possible contribution... Hopefully the anti-inflammatory will see her through and back to normal...

Now, for more Sew & Tell from another gathering this week... our Wonky Bits group this time! 8-)
This is Lp's little wall-quilt that she was prepping for hand-quilting...
These 2 photos are Kn's creations. Creations mimicking the photos she cut from the news paper a while back... The sun setting with the birds and all...
...and this is the moon rising...
This landscape quilt was also made by Kn. That is the "Sleeping Giant" from Thunderbay in the background... and Kh behind the quilt reminds me of Tim the Toolman's neighbor Wilson!!! All she needs is a hat! 8-)
Pg's kit that she put together a while back. Now it is quilted and bound... Love the colors... 8-)
These 2 photos are of Hc's quilt-as-you-go blocks. We played with them some... until my knees were done! Enough! We moved it to some tables for her to lable the order for finishing...
This is the layout Hc is going with...?... I should have snapped a photo of the other side! She has it in blues/greys/peach tones...

Here is a link to some instructions for the Carrot Table Topper for those that were interested... We made ours from one of our gal's magazines... Don't know which one...sorry.

That be it from me today! 8-)

Poor Ruby about getting thrown off the treadmill. I tried to put one of my dogs on a treadmill once for exercise, but it didn't work. He didn't like it, but I have seen dogs use them. Glad she is going to be ok. All of the quilts are so pretty. You are making me wish I lived close by to try and join. But so far I am just being a granny. I would like to get back to sewing though soon. Have a great weekend!

It is always interesting to see photos of what your group members are working on.
The quilts in your header picture are very spring looking and oh so pretty!
Poor Ruby. I hope she gets better soon but she is lucky not to need surgery. I have seen a commercial on television of a dog on a treadmill that goes flying off the back because he can't keep up! I hope Ruby wasn't watching it. My mother's name was Ruby!

I'm so pleased Ruby will recover without surgery. Great news. Re your guilting groups' quilts, I love the flower one - bright flowers, and fanciful stems.
