It was a full day today! Met Pg at the mall and then set out to Economy Textiles, hadn't been there in a long while. Then to Marshall's Testiles for a look-see too. This is what I bought between the two places... I'm going to make a few carrot table toppers...
Then on to Olive Garden for lunch, followed by a trip to the Croft House Quilt Shop, and finally to friend Bb's open house/demo day, coffee, cake, etc.
Oh to dream to have a quilting frame and machine such as this... 8-)
Bb also had all kinds of creative works from all kinds of sewers hanging all around the shop which we were to vote our favorites for certain categories, and best of all... Of course I was drawn to all that is quilty! And thus, my photos reflect that, but there were some lovely clothing, bags, embroidery, etc... Quite a few items were of friend's creations which I have posted about in the past... Here is a few items from the showing... I just have to menion, the quilt with the circles was apparently made by a male quilter... 8-)

I really found myself drawn to the 4th quit down the row - the brown one with the connected squares... Love it!!! I could see doing something like that - I really like it........ Wow. Am thinking, where could I hang that?????
I keep wanting to tell you I like the header on your blog!! Those are neat little quilts. Yours I presume?? I like 'em.
And you are going to make carrots!!! Way to cute!!! I can hardly wait to see them. I am glad you and your friend went shopping today - those fabrics are going to look great all made up!! Have fun making them - you know you are making want to go find my pattern don't you! But I will resist - I have to stick to my plan of finishing things, so I just can't do it!!! But it is tempting...... :-)
Oh I wish I could've gone to the open house today but I'm glad to see some pics! See you on Wed!
That is what a I call A Day Out! Sounds like such fun - thanks for the quilt show!
Hugs - Lurline♥
I enjoyed seeing all of these. Males are getting into the quilting and knitting I hear. They discovered what a relaxing activity they are.
Me to ,that fourth one is different ,I really like it .Love the fabric's you bought .
I picked out the brown quilt as my favorite too. And those are a couple of my favorite Wpg fabric stores. Lucky you.
I like it that quilting is mostly women. I hope men don't find out how much fun it is and try to take over.
Myra, you sure had a day out. Got lovely fabrics and a nice show and tell for us. I could not believed it that the first quilt you showed was made by a man. The blue and yellow wedding ring quilt is beautul.
Is this Economy Textiles some kind of a fabric outlet? I would love to have a shop like that :)
I, too, love the brown one, but the black one with flowers caught my eye as well! Very pretty quilts!
