Friday already!?!

I've been pretty quiet this week haven't I? Shock of all shocks! You are probably thinking I am sewing up a storm... NOT! Just haven't had anything much to post about... still really don't...

I've been a single woman since 5am on Tuesday. It should only last till Saturday/Sunday though... The boys went fishing in Ontario, so it has been really quiet around here... DD2 came for sup last night to scan more old family photos... had a nice visit. Today I am going to my parents for lunch, and then we are going to the hall where the 50th anniversary will be held, to sort out some details...

Wish I had a clothesline!!!
Been wanting one since we got married 24.75 years ago, but DH has avoided that request at every house we've lived... so, this is what I was up to yesterday/today... Hand washed my batiks, hung them in the shower over night for most of the moisture to go, then hung them in my dining room on a rod this morning. Raining outside today, so I couldn't place them out like I had planned... hopefully they will be dry when I get home later this afternoon...Then once ironed, I can get all my steam-a-seam pieces ironed on, cut out, and ready to roll...

Gotta go walk the dogs now and get on with my day! 8-)

Have a good one!

Hey Myra! Looks like your bathroom countertop is the same as our kitchen countertop!

I always wanted a clothes line too since the denim never comes out of the dryer all the way dry. So my handy husband rigged clothes lines across the ceiling joists in the basement right near the washer and dryer. The heat from the furnace does double duty now heating the hot water and the house, and drying the clothes on the lines! I love it!

Love your new picture too!

Love the beautiful batiks. When I can't get hubby to do a honey do. I often enlist my boys. They are pretty handy.

Myra, I have always had a clotheline. I love hanging clothes out and listening to all the birds sing. I even had dh unhook my dryer several years ago. I didn't use it enough for it to be taking up space. Those look like some very pretty fabrics. I will be patient and wait for them to reappear on you blog as a beautiful quilt. (grin) Have a good day. Winona

You have been quiet! And I noticed. We aren't allowed to have a clothesline where we live now. I think it is a silly rule.

Beautiful batiks Myra and they do brighten up the bathroom! I'm not allowed a clothes line where I live either...seems a shame to me in this time of high energy costs.
Guess the main thing is that you've figured out how to get the job done anyway. I'm sure your boys homecoming will be a welcome one! Big hugs, Finn

Wow those batiks look good. I didnt have a clothesline at all until I moved in with Jim in the summer last until then everything dried all along the radiators.

I would love to have a clothesline also....or at least I think I would. I had one as a kid...or my folks did. Your batiks are very pretty. Have to click on the steam a seam...I just realized I didn't do that.

Clotheslines are great but I always use the dryer for my fabrics!
