Mindless Monday...

That is about it! Its been a pretty mindless day... Laundry and some no think sewing... I feel good about getting my blocks from the Holly Jolly charm packs all put together today! Its the Disappearing 9-Patch pattern. I think I will go looking for some fabric for a boarder this week sometime. I am thinking of a teal blue for an outer boarder, but am stumped of what to use for an inner boarder...but does it need an inner boarder. And this Candy Cane fabric that goes with it, I think I will use for the binding. It was the only bolt of fabric they had that went with the charm packs. How lucky will I be if I find some other fabric that goes with that line... It will be a pretty colorful quilt, thats for sure!

I also got some fabric cut into 5" charms to go with these HST that I had played with a while back. I should have bought another 1 or 2 charm packs for that one at the time.

DH's youngest cousin popped in for coffee on Sunday. We haven't seen B for about 3-4 years, and before that, about the same amount of time, etc. Hard to believe at times that he is a grown man as he was only a little 12 year old when we got married...He ended up staying for supper which he really appreciated since B lives on a bachelor's fast food diet. Yuck!

And last but least, the fur girls rough-housing while Mum is sewing...
Our little Ruby is 1 year old now! Time has flown sinc
e I brought home that little 3 pound fur ball, and Dora has been so happy having a playmate... ? ... and yes the fight as siblings do... 8-)

I must say, I am overwhelmed some at the number of people commenting for my giveaway! Wow! That's awesome! 8-)
I've noticed a few gals d
on't have a blog, or a contact email... hmmmmm?

That be it from me for today... time to get caught up on my blog hopping! 8-)

Hi Myra, How about the pale green for the second border? I love bindings done in a striped fabric.

I really like your disappearing nine patch. I tried one but didn't like it because of the fabrics I used. I need to try it again.

Love the Holly Jolly split 9 patch! I agree with Julie, a paler version of the green or maybe the yellow might look good as an inner border. The striped fabric will be awesome as the binding. Who's the quilt for?

I love the fun colors in your disappearing nine patch. Teal will look lovely for a border and the candy cane binding will be adorable.

What a cute quilt! I made a quilt recently with those fabrics, and I just love it. I also bound my quilt with that striped fabric, and it turned out fun :)
