Crochet anyone?

We had an absolutely lovely, sunny, Summer-like day yesterday, and today its cloudy, windy, and cool...a typical Fall day...

I thought I would show some crochet today. My Auntie Joyce has done crochet since forever... As a little girl she had crocheted clothing items for me, and she always had afghan blocks, as pictured, on the go, ready to be made into an afghan as a gift for someone's wedding... It used to amaze me that she could crochet while conversing at Sunday visits with everyone at Grandma and Grandpa's house.
This afghan is the one my Aunt made for my hubby and I when we got married. It is queen sized and is fairly heavy. I was so happy that she made us one. She has also crocheted vests for my girls when they were about 9-10... Thank you Auntie Joyce! Kiss-kiss, Hug-hug! 8-)

I bought some lovely Christmas fabric last Wednesday when I was at the shop with my Pfaffy (Can't recall when Bb said it would be ready for pick-up? hmmmmm...?) ...Anyway, I thought this fabric would make lovely outer boarders for Christmas table toppers. Another project...hopefully to make soon, but I am not promising! 8-)
I also ordered some fabric from the Quilter's Jewel quilt shop to go with my Garden Inspirations charms I had bought a while ago. I thought of driving out there to buy it, but with gas prices constantly growing, probably a lunch to buy while out there, and more than enough things to keep me busy here, I thought I would be cheaper off and save on time doing mail order...this time. It should be here sometime next week. 8-)

Now, I need to see what I will work on at our 2nd Mini Day-Retreat tomorrow...?

So what are you bringing for tomorrow, eh? Remember to bring your camera to take pics. I don't know what I'm bringing for tomorrow either. I guess I better make up my mind, soon! LOL

Too bad you decided not to drive. I would have fed you some lunch. Lol. Maybe we'll meet one of these days.

What a beautiful afghan! It's a great pattern. I know my mother had potholders in the same pattern when I was a child.
