I empty our mail box everyday...
I receive this inch and a half thick bundle once a week...
Grant it, it is Christmas, so there is probably a "bit" more added, but this comes once a week, every week, all year long...
My mailbox is even so full, that the mail-person can't
even fit in our "important" mail...
I maybe look at 3 of these flyers weekly...
As far as I am concerned, it is a big waste of paper, a big waste of trees.
There, that is my beef for today!!!
Not much sewing going on around here right now. Been spending too much time on the computer, exchanging email with and adding all the new PhD participants to the group blog. Wow! 8-)
Playing a Spider Solitaire game, or playing Wordscraper on Facebook. Pretty much procrastinating getting ready for Christmas...
As per usual...
Laundry done, time to go do a major cleaning, and decorate...
Mr & Mrs Rose coming over to do some more
Christmas baking with DS tonight...
Don't let this season's kaos get you down! 8-)

I'm so with you on the junk mail problem. Nobody reads all those fliers. They should just give up and save hundreds of trees.
Hi Myra - I so agree - I keep looking for crafts or some good way of using these things...maybe...
{PS you don't have to respond - I never expect it - my comment is just a way of connecting with someone who takes the time to share their life through their blog - thank you}
Oh that is one of my all time biggest peeves! I have to sort through all of that just to see if anything important got stuck in there. Such a waste!
Have a Wonderful Christmas Myra! Sometimes I wished Christmas lasted a little longer....
I figure if some of those stores stopped spending money on flyers, maybe they could lower their prices. I'd like THAT better than tons of junk filling up my mailbox!!!
Thank heaven for recycling bins - and the nice man that comes once a week to take it all away!!! I see the group blog growing every day - need to get onto posting my PhDs. Merry Christmas
Jeeze Louise, guys, I just put a label on the mailbox with "no flyers" printed on it and all that stuff stopped. Your mailman will love you if you do it!!! Trust me, I asked!
Lurking Linda
Did you know that you don't have to receive those flyers? There are stickers that you can put on your mailbox that say "No Junk Mail" or "No Flyers" and I think they can be found at Home Hardware or Canadian Tire. You should also call Canada Post and tell them you don't want this stuff. It's called Consumer Choice and you, as the consumer, has a choice to receive it or not. Hopefully Canada Post does their job correctly and you won't be getting junk any more. Good Luck!!!!
My motto is "If it wasn't for the last minute nothing would get done!" I tend to do the same as you. I get on the computer instead of doing my Christmas sewing...and especially before any cleaning or cooking!
Hope you have a Merry Christmas!
Enjoy your holiday baking.
Your friends runner turned out wonderful.
I LOVE your header picture Myra! Good job!
