Men gone fishing, the gals at play.,..

The menfolk left early Sunday morning for their annual fishing adventure. In the mean time, this is what the womenfolk have been up to at our place...

DD2 - Scrap-Booking...
MsLocks - Cutting out skirt pattern...
and learning to sew from me...
We did a "Lord of the Rings" viewing marathon over the course of 3 days...
Complete with scrumptious snacks...
MsLocks modeling a first sewing experience creation...
Skirt and Sash
We did some DD1 wedding invite envelope addressing together last night...
This afternoon 2 of us are watching Avatar!!! 8-)
And me, well, I've been entertaining and not getting any of my things done... But, that will change tonight, as my company will all be doing their own thing, at their own places, till the menfolk come home on Saturday...

Tonight is a quilt gathering night, as well as a Wonky Bits gathering tomorrow... So, I should have some Sew, Show & Tell up here soon!

Hope you Canadians all had a great Victoria Day long weekend!

Happy stitchings!
Myra

Wow, busy girltime which is SUCH A BLESSING! LOVE the skirt and you are teaching her a gift that she will cherish! DIL seems so willing. So my friend I was very glad to read your blog today because it made me really happy for you and your blossoming family!

Enjoy you "quiet" time now to create that perfect balance! :-)

Your "student" did a nice job on that skirt. It sure looks like you were addressing a LARGE pile of envelopes for the wedding!!!

I had a great weekend. Love the skirt. I never had the patience for scrapbooking but wish I did.

Sounds like a fabulous time was had by all - and now you have a long weekend coming up and more great times, I'm sure. Beautiful skirt - pretty invites (I remember those times at our house). I'll be looking forward to seeing the sewing results.

When the soccer WC starts is a few weeks, I'm going to have loads of girltime too. My neighbour/quiltfriend and I in one house sewing and the DH's in the other watching the games. Looking forward to it!!
