My poor pup Ruby...

Ruby had hives 2 nights ago...and I've had little sleep since then...
I noticed bumps that appeared out of nowhere on Ruby's back around 10pm, and thought "hmmm... a visit to the vets in the morning..."
Then a half hour later I noticed her scratching, and swelling on her face, and thought, "HIVES"!
After talking to my Vet (she thinks maybe a spider or ant bite from the basement?), and giving Ruby some of Dora's Prednisone and Antihistamines (wasp/bee bites), the hives took their time disappearing. Ruby was restless and itchy for most of the night, plus still had a bit of the runs that come with such reactions, so very little sleep for both of us... I gave her some more Antihistamine yesterday morning, and she seemed fine for the day... Then... last night was filled with more restlessness for Ruby, the runs and vomiting... SHEESH!
I feel like a walking zombie, and Ruby is restless today so far... 8-(

I am on the home stretch with A&A's quilt! Three corners done!!
Should have been done weeks ago!!! Tsk-Tsk!
Pillowcases to make yet, which was today's plan,
but being a zombie we'll see...

It is our Row Robin Exchange night again at CCC tonight.
I got my row finished in the 7th box I've had on Monday morning. It turned out well, and I am very pleased with it... We shall see what I come home with in the 8th (of 9) box I will be coming home with tonight... Maybe some show & tell too... 8-)
Update: Bad weather, stayed home... 8-(

Have a great day friends...
Myra

Hope Ruby is feeling better Myra, and you can get a good night's sleep. Daisy had an allergic reaction to something after her surgery, and the Doctor had us give her Benadryl.

Oh, poor Ruby. Our recently-deceased dog had what they thought was a spider bite a few years back. He got REALLY swelled up on his face...it was all very scary and took awhile to straighten out for him.

I sure hope Ruby feels better and that you get some sleep.

Puppies that do not feel well are not a fun thing! Mine gets to go to the vet tomorrow, but I don't know how I am getting here there - she can't walk that far and my car is at the Dr.s!! She has some kind of growth on her foot, so walking is not fun for her to do very long anyways so that is why she is going - to have it removed.
I hope you and Rudy are better now that it's been a few days and you both are caught up on your sleeps!!
