We went to visit Mr & Mrs Farmer in Wisconsin Cheese Country! We had a wonderful visit, and once again DD1 surprized me with some quilty thrift store finds!!!
Fabrics! Measuring scrap size to 3/4yd...
Patterns at 50% off last marked price...
Books also at 50% off last marked price...
Lucky me!
DD1 also took me to several quilt
shops in the area... 8-)
Here are the 2 greens I bought at Brubaker Sewing & Furniture. They are to go with
these other fabrics to make a baby boy quilt,
in case our grandchild is a boy...
blue, green, orange, yellow...
DD2 picked the full green to use in the quilt, and I may use the print for the applique...?
At the "Sew'n Sew" Quilt Shop
I bought this T-Shirt...
These prints...
These Fat Quarters...
...And the zipper pattern. The zippers and the long needles I got at a very "cheep, cheep" shop that DD1 showed me...
I was amazed that the quilt shops were all found on the back roads around there, on private home properties! Love it! One place we stopped in sold quilts, no fabrics. It was an Amish Homestead. Beautiful quilts!!
DD1 also took me to one of her favorite thrift stores where we filled a paper bag full, and I do mean full, of gently used baby clothes for $5.00!!! WOW!

Can you believe I didn't take one photo during the whole time away!?!
Hope you have all been well!

Love the shirt! :) I am a new follower to your blog. Found it through Slow Poke Quilters. Love the turtle fabric. And the thrift store finds. My MIL found a whole bolt of quilting cotton for me in a thrift store for $5! I think I need to do more thrifting! Take Care! :)
