Under pressure and hospital visits...

I'm having a niece over with her baby boy on Sunday, & decided to make a quick quilt for him... BUT, that got pushed to the wayside Thursday.
Reason?
My dear Bro & DS went dirt-biking that day. Bro had an accident. Long story short, hospital transfers, several broken ribs, a bruised lung, sever pain... CT Scan confirmed it isn't as bad as it could have been. Us gals stayed just long enough to watch a beautiful sunrise Friday morning... Now catching up on some much needed rest...
Never a dull minute in our family... 8-)

Today I decided, since we won't do a hospital visit till tonight, that I am sure I could whip up a quilt top today...

I had a layer cake, cut it into 4s, and then I made my 9-patches...
 Cross-cut the 9-patches for the D 9-P...
Quilt top put together... The fabrics are running every which way, but that is ok...
I'm happy with it! 8-)
Hopefully I will be able to sandwich it after the hospital visit tonight... Machine quilt and bind it tomorrow at a mini day retreat...Get a visit in with bro on the way home from the mini retreat, and prepare the BBQ dinner for the visit with the niece, and present the baby quilt...

Here's hoping!!! 8-)

Have a great rest of your weekend!

Off to the hospital I go...

Good that your brother is not as injured as it looked like.
