Stitched together, borders on, stand on tip-toes to put it up on my display wall, snap a few photos to admire my work, and to post about it, and then I saw it!!! ...?... OH NO!!!
OMG!! How did I so not see that earlier in the day!?!? I'm usually the one that spots those kind of things as soon as I stand back from it!! I had it on the display wall before adding the borders to look at!!!! Arrrrgh!!!
Can you see it!?!
Do I take it apart tomorrow and fix it!?!?
Right now I am inclined to just leave it, put the Sun applique on it, and call the top done...?...? Sheesh!!!
I will sleep on it..
I worked so steadily on it today...
Big sigh... 8-(

Just a bit sad, Myra - but all the teal/aquas are lined up nicely - can you live with it? - looking forward to the outcome!
Big hugs - Lurline♥
Awww, so sorry that happened! I would rip, but maybe you can think of a way to cover it? ;-) Good luck!
There's got to be an evil quilting elf that switches things up on the way from the design wall to the sewing machine. I'm positive he's been at my place on more than one occasion! One day I'll catch him, but until then I have to rip out my flubs or they drive me crazy!
Two adages come to mind - 1. Every quilt must have a 'mistake' somewhere because nothing is perfect except God
2. Galloping horses won't see it!
But then, I know how crazy I can get over things....
Oh no! These things happen to me too.... I would rip, I don't think you can really cover it up.. :-(
To be honest, I had to look hard to see it.......so I think unless people are studying it, most won't notice. It still looks very pretty......great colors!
If you think it will annoy you then you have to fix it otherwise just put the sun on it.
Myra - leave it. And laugh when you see it!! You usually do not have this type of thing, it makes this one special!! and if you start taking it apart, you won't stop, and look how far you've come with it.
Leave it. And enjoy it!!! And move onto the next project!!! Once it's being used, you are not going to see it when it's a curled around someone!! It's pretty - love the colours.
And guess who is finally back in her sewing room.........
Call it done and move on. Life is too short for ripping out!
I didn't notice until you made mention.
I 'flipped' half of my log cabin quilt and now have a pieced strip in the centre instead of hiding on the edge but I'm going with what Peg said about quilts not being perfect.
Your grand-baby will have a gorgeous quilt made with lots of love and a story to go with it :)
