CAMPING!!!
Dryberry Lake (Ontario), far into the forest,
3.5 hours from home...
We did a pit stop, looked at some
It took about 50 minutes off road,
and finally we get to the boat launch.
We are off! My Bro and SIL ahead of us, for the 30-40 minute boat ride to find a camp spot...
We are off! My Bro and SIL ahead of us, for the 30-40 minute boat ride to find a camp spot...
Weighted down with all our camp gear...
Yup! I'm there! 8-)
Very rocky...
Beautiful...
Bro's dogs love going for boat rides,
and camping...
Our fur-girls stayed at "doggy hotel" for the weekend, and sure happy when we
picked them up again! 8-)
A bit of fishing done... not catches...
A foggy morning...
All in one boat touring the lake...
A stop to check out another camp spot for future use, and the dogs checking things out...
A carving at that site...
I've never seen so many loons together on the water... Though I only caught some on photo, there must have been around 25 together...
The guys and the dogs did a bit of climbing...
To take photos of Native rock paintings...
While us gals waited in the boat...
This is the sandy beach we camped at...
Very clean water! Beautiful!! 8-)
Because of the heat, we swam quite a bit...
View of our camp from the boat...
Bro's screen tent under an extra large tarp to keep a bit cooler and for good shade...
Our tents and BBQ table...
DH even found a place to hang his hammock!!
Our view from camp...
At sunset...
Blueberry bushes I discovered right around camp just before packing up...
A waterfall from a higher level lake in the area that DH showed me on the way back to the dock to head on home yesterday...
It was the first time in my DH's boat,
much to his pleasure...
I got just a tad-sunburned...
I actually went swimming 4 times! If you know me, that doesn't happen very often, especially in lake waters... but it was so very clean and hot,
I just had too!! 8-)
Very happy we had the screen tent
cause the bugs were many!
We had a lightening show we watched far off in the distance one night, expected rain, thunder, and lightening, but ended up with a REALLY BIG wind storm at about 2:30am for about an hour, with only 2 minutes of spitting rain...
It was a wonderful weekend!
Thanks Bro, SIL, and DH! 8-)
Time to do laundry and clean up stuff!
Will do my blog visits soon... 8-)

Oh my, it looks wonderful, beautiful, simply splendid. We haven't gone camping in so long. Too bad there were no fish that wanted to be caught. I hope you aren't sweltering under the heat today.
Beautiful scenery and that water looks crystal clear .Glad you had a great time .

Great photos! I've never heard of Dryberry Lake but it looks just beautiful. Kind of reminds me of Algonquin Park.
