My day yesterday, and PhD Giveaway....

To all my fellow Canadians...
143 years young!!! 8-)
I hope you all had a wonderful day!!!

Yup! The big "five O" yesterday! All day long... lol! 8-)
Do I feel any different? Oh ya!!!! .... NOT!
Life goes on in the craziness that 2010 has brought to our family... 8-)
My cousin B came by in the morning yesterday with this wonderful basket of bath-time goodies... plus chocolate!!!
Then she took me out for lunch to Cora's Restaurant.
This was her plate...
... and this was my plate! Yum!!
Aren't they just so wonderfully colorful!?! 8-)We ate outside in the courtyard...
Thanks for the visit and goodies B!!! 8-)

In the evening I brought a b-day cake to share with my Crescentwood Quilt Group, which is what the birthday girl does, and is gifted with fat-quarters in the colors/prints of her choice.
These are my goodies! Thanks ladies!! 8-)
I hadn't seen my quilting friends, in any of my 3 groups, for about 4 weeks, so it was nice to see some last night! We even had 1 sew and tell.

This is Sw's baby quilt she made. She is still considered one of our newbie quilters, at 75!! Good job Sw! 8-)
I then picked up and moved, a van full of boxes with DD1, from her apartment to our basement. She is slowly moving the majority of her belongings here, waiting to move down to the farm (hopefully before Christmas!) after her wedding in August ... Giving more space for DD2 to make the apartment a home for her and MrRose in the time before their September wedding.... Things are starting to heat up between the siblings... if you know what I mean?! 8-)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'd like to thank all of you lovely ladies for taking part in my challenge. Including myself, there were 21 of us.
If you click on their names in the right sidebar PhD list, you will see their PhD update posts some put up...
The number of PhDs completed is 70!!!
You've all done well, and can give yourselves a big pat on the back!!! 8-)
High time for...
the
PhD Challenge Giveaway
for the PhD Participants!!!
I know I am late... DD1 has been here all day distracting me.... I had her draw the names...
In the first draw, for each PhD you've completed, I threw your name into the bowl...
First winner is.....
This is your winnings Becky! 8-)
The second drawing was for the 9 participants that put up a June 30th post on your blog about your finishes. Thanks! 8-)
Second winner is......
This is your winnings Brenda S! 8-)
Ladies, if you could email me your addresses, I will get them off to you ASAP...
I am considering doing another Challenge in January 2011, when I will hopefully have my life back to some form of normalcy...
Thanks all!
Myra
Sorry this was a long post!!!
Congrats to your winners and GOOD job for all of you getting so many PhD's finished. A question now (as I get easily confused).....if DD1 is getting married in August but not moving to the farm right away, where is she going to live after the wedding???
Cool, thanks! A neat prize to tempt me while my machines are all still packed away in storage for the summer. WAH!! :)
Happy birthday and great job on the PhD finishes everyone! I had a good time and know I'll be joining in again in Jan. After my hiatus this summer, I'll need the continued boost. :D
