To procrastinate a bit of what all needs doing around here, I thought I'd spend a bit of time doing a post of some of my Delft Blue treasures...
Imagine my surprize at seeing a bunch of new icons and methods to make a "new post"!! Yikes!!! All I did was what Julie recommended in this post here to see what this "stats" thing was all about... LOL!
I seem to be doing ok here... 8-)

Top shelf, my Dutch Delft goodies. Bottom shelf left, DH's Polish treasures. Center, a gifted pink candle, and a floral/wooden-shoe treasure inherited from an Aunt. At right, my gifted Angel treasures...
More of my Delft items... My little windmill that was on the top shelf broke beyond repair in our last move... 8-(
Salt and Pepper Piggies... and the 6 little spice canisters I received from my cousin in Holland... Love this little kitchen shelf... 8-)
Delft bottle from my grandmother. It used to hold some sort of liqueur...
The plate is one of 4 with different scenes on them. Bought at the Dutch Pavilion during our city's 2 week "Folklorama Festival" every year in August. This festival has pavilions of about 25 to 30 different nationalities. A good time that people from all over come to visit...
Now to get back at what I've been procrastinating... 8-(

PS: I've investigated a wonderful "doggy hotel" (that I will remember to photograph next time, to share photos) that friend Cd recommended as I need to kennel my fur-girls for 4 weekends in the next 3 months...
Doggie Hotel will be their first experience with such...
I hope it goes well for them!!!

Their new pillow covers that I was prepared to sew, but decided to use my DD's never used skirts. Insert pillow, tuck in waste and bottom of skirt! It works! 8-)
Blue-jean fabric is so much easier to keep clean of shedding fur...
OK! That's it! Back at it now Myra!!!
Happy stitchings Quilters!!!

I'm a procrastinator too. I wasted a lot of time yesterday playing with the gadgets I discovered. You can change back to the old format for doing blog posts if you don't like the new one.
Hope the girls have a good holiday.
xx
Oh, how I wanted Delft blue tall & skinny houses for the shelf in my blue & white bedroom. Needed to spend the money on other things so I never got any.
Loved seeing your Delft blue. Brought back memories of my grandma's collection.
I hope the doggy hotel goes well.
Your Delft collection is beautiful. I saw a lot of Delft objects when we went to Delft many years ago. I was very impressed.
Like the Delft blue collection!Quilting DD lives near Delft and it's available al over the country. When I come across a windmill, I will remember you need a new one :)
"Some kind of liquor" is "jenever",(gin) which is brewed in the vicinity of Rotterdam. My Mum was born there and my granddad rubbed her neck with it for warmth after a haircut in winter !!
Like the shelf with the herb containers too (did you know there are herb names on it btw??)
oh the puppies are going to love going to the doggie hotel!
don't worry!
