Mini Retreat Photos...

I think you will be some disappointed as I don't have much for Sew & Tell for a day spent with 23 other quilters...?... but here it is!

Our famous Dl has finished another Bargello quilt top today...
Another lovely D! 8-)
And our Dw is plugging along with her's, but making good strides...
Way to go D!!! 8-)
This is Vh's Teddy in progress... Darling... 8-)
You go girl!!! Vf finished a quilt top today too!!! 8-)
Pg was working on Christmas blocks for a large quilt.
Adorable Santa and Rudolf!!! 8-)
Santa was missing a hand at this point, but it was on in no time...
One of our gals, Nd, makes these lovely bags for an organization called "Grandmas for Africal". They have made many, many bags, to raise funds... 8-)
This is Du's Christmas wall-quilt that she has been busy with...
Getting there D! 8-)
One of the great parts to the day was having 2 fellow bloggers join us today. This was a first "in person" meeting for me. In photo, Brenda from Scraps and Strings, myself, and Joyce from J's Quilting Blog... Brenda brought her friend Heather along for the day too. Ladies, I really enjoyed our time sitting together, getting to know you, and Joyce, thanks for making the effort driving in to join us. I know you have a long drive... 8-)
Hope you had a safe trip home...

I had invited a couple of other local bloggers that I have been getting to know online also. D from Quilt Pixie, and Marlene from Sipiweske Quilt Designs, but they were unable to make it...this time! And our K from Quilter Going Bananas, who belongs to one of my quilt groups, ended up in the USA with her mother and daught
er for an annual getaway weekend... Hopefully we shall all be able to meet up sometime soon! 8-)

And now, you see in the photo, I finally got to hand-quilting on my very first quilt I made and sandwiched about 6 years ago. Brought my little quilting stand along, and dove in... I think this will replace my hexagons for a while as the frame is not that heavy or awkward to carry... As friend Pg says, "Just get'er done!" 8-)

Hope you all had a great weekend!
I know I did! 8-)

Happy stitchings!
Myra

Your gal who does bargello is GREAT. I liked everything you showed. I wonder, though, why I don't see anything made by YOU? How nice that you got to meet a couple of your blogging buddies, too!!!

The pictures are great. I saw the bargello in progress, but your picture gives me a better perspective on it. Thanks for the lovely day. It was great meeting you and the rest of your group.

Your friend's Bargello quilt is stunning...what a neat picture seeing all her strips before she sewed them together. Good luck with your Bargello quilt!
