A CCC quilt gathering night...

We had a great evening last night at our gathering. Twelve of us were present. A nice number! 8-)

Pg was finishing off the binding on her grand-daughter's quilt. Adorable!!! The quilt, and the baby! 8-)
Jm was also finishing off the binding, on her wall-quilt for her kitchen... Whoohoo just about done!!! J hasn't had much time for quilting lately, so she is indeed pleased! 8-)
I'm still plugging away on my long term hand-piecing project here... It measures about 34"x34" now... I just realized, I seem to be enjoying my hand stitching more than machine lately... hmmmm? What's up with that!?!
We had a visitor join us last night. This is B from Ontario. Her and her hubby have been camping in and around Manitoba for the last 2 weeks. She happened to drop by one of our gal's shops (which she is pondering buy a Phaff before she heads home), and a few of the gals invited her to join us... She travels/camps with her old singer... Wow hey!?! B was wonderful company! Fit right in! 8-)

And, as last week seemed to be green, this week we had lots of shades of purple, though some of it looks bluish on the photo... What a hoot! 8-)
I disfigure my friend's faces only to hide their identity, to respect their wishes...

For those that asked, my header photo is just a "fun effect" called "coloring book" in my Kodak photo program that came with my camera... Just a click of the mouse does it! Fun stuff! 8-)

Hope you are all having a great week!

Hi Myra, I think I'm going to have to head North and check on you! You are having WAY TOO MUCH fun all the time...LOL *VBS* What a great post! Your group sound just as fabulous as you and what good sports and quilters. Lovely quilts all around.
I love your hexs *VBS* You're a gal after my own heart. Hexagons sewn helter-skelter was my first attempt at quilting. I never did hear the part about them being flowers until later. The very random version I hand pieced is called "Honeycomb", which fits perfectly. The hexs were about 2.5" and I eyeballed the quarter inch..LOL. Amazingly it all came together in the end. What a way to start!! I can hardly wait to see your progress. Don't worry if it is appealing to you more than sewing. That often happens to all of us quilters. Sometimes one part, another time something different. Sizing blocks???? Never!! Big chilly WI hugs, Finn

Myra, what fun you have with your friends! Your handpiecing project is really coming along nicely. Sometimes the slow and steady projects are more satisfying than the get-it-done-quickly kind!

Love the new header pic. Camera software can be so fun to play with !

Nice to see you are at least stitching by hand. It's better than repair jobs and that's what I am up to now. Then it's sewing whatever I want. Maybe you need a retreat?
