UFO... nope! PHD!!! 8-)

I'm working on my PHD (project half done) today... 8-)

Decided to work on my whole-cloth! Finishing this will make my 5th and final commitment for Finn's Challenge... Heck! I may even get a 6th done at this rate! 8-)

The fabric I had bought, way back when, to go with my whole-cloth for a backing ended up being only a fat quarter... Don't know what I was thinking? Definitely not big enough for a backing... Perhaps I had a different thought for the backing and was going to use this piece for binding?...?

I decided to use that fat quarter for a matching ruffle, and just use some muslin for the back of the pillow. Yes, you read that right! I have decided to make a decoration pillow out of this whole-cloth for my bed. I think it will look great with my quilt that I plan to make for my bed...

I thought to put a zipper in the back... Haven't worked with a zipper in a long time, and it went in very well! 8-)

Going to my Crescentwood gathering tonight. Hoping to get my pillow pieces all pinned together there, in order to stitch up and finish it tomorrow.... Hoping to have lots of show and tell for you later tonight, or tomorrow morning... Till then,

I really, really like the whole cloth quilt - you put a lot of time into that and it shows! It's going to look great and really stand out in your room. AND your mystery pieces are coming together quite nicely also. My weather is heading your way . . . make sure you enjoy it more than I did! - Marlene
