CCC Gathering Night...

A continuation of today's earlier post...

Not all well made plans work out...

I was fighting with my ruffle this evening and after an hour of fussing I finally came to the conclusion that there was just not enough fabric to make a nice full ruffle... So, I may only make a covered cording for in the seams around the pillow... And that will have to do...

After all that fuss, I ended up working on my hexagon blocks... I should actually lay them all out and see how big it's grown at this point.

This here is Du's Oriental Quilt that she was binding tonight. Check out the lovely quilting done in the boarder (click on photo), it was done by a well experienced quilter. Du did the straight line quilting in it... The fabrics are just gorgeous!!! Good job Du!!! 8-)

Dl was cutting up a storm of flannel for a weave pattern she has... Here you see only 2 of her 4 plaids, and she has a light colored, small polka-dot background for it too... Gonna look great and be nice and cozy Dl!!!

This is Dk's quilt. It is made out of some form of log cabin and solid blocks... Very charming isn't it? All made from her stash fabrics... Looks great Dk!!! I may have to borrow your pattern! 8-)

This is what N was playing with tonight. Her brother had asked her to make him a Lone Star quilt. From a book on Lone Star quilts, N got the great info of making a few mini diamond sections with her fabrics in different color orders. Then make 8 photo copies of each to cut up and play with to see what color layout combination she would look like... Very kewl N!!! I look forward to seeing the big one made!

In the photo you see one of N's fabric samples glued to the paper (they aren't even sewn together, just glued to the paper), then 2 different color plays, and at the top of the photo is one of Kh's (QGB) Mariner's Compass blocks...

This is As's Envelope Tote part way done... She started out with a 27" square quilt. When she worked her magic on it, and ended up with 3 pockets on it... Something I am going to have to try... 8-)

Lastly, Yn handed out Spool/Thimble holders that she had her hubby make. What a lovely little surprize gift Yn!!! Thank you very much!!! 8-)

Hi Myra; Too bad that you spent that time on the ruffle. Perhaps, you can use it on another pillow. Thank you for putting the picture of my quilt on your blog and your comments. Take care. Dianne
