Mystery Top Done!!!

After a bit of stitch ripping and cutting to correct a wrong given in the instructions, and much stitching, my "first experience mystery" Criss-Cross Apple-Sauce quilt top is done!!!
I'm not liking the yellow at all, and the green isn't really doing it for me either, but I guess that kind of thing is expected when doing a mystery. It will make a good Spring/Easter table-topper... 8-)

Here is a close-up of one corner...

It would look good as a table topper, round or square. Its always hard doing a mystery quilt. I have three unfinished ones in my cupboard at the moment. I will finish one day.

I think the top turned out wonderuflly! and its done so quickly! The yellow is a little intense in that its a solid -- what about stenciling or doing some interesting quilting on it to tone it down a little....

Congrats on getting the top done! Even though you're not 100% happy with how it turned out you can look at it as a lesson in colour, I guess. If you ever considered doing another one of these in a different colourway you'd know better for next time .....

You did all the ripping out - wow! I couldn't be bothered . . . I had everything sewn together to match the first image that was sent and by the time the photo of the actual quilt came - it was too late. Yours looks great. Going in blind like that was fun and I would do it again. Wonder if Myra has something planned for the future? - Marlene

Great job Myra! It looks a little like an Irish chain. Also noticed you doing some knitting. You are very talented and busy accomplishing so many things. Have a great day!

I totally agree with "Quilter going bananas". You participated in the mystery, had some fun and now you've learned something, what more can you ask.
As someone who goes for bright colors,I really like it.

Good Job Myra! Maybe you could use some of your flower print fabric and do some kind of appliqué in the big yellow spaces? I'm having the same issue with my fabric that I chose for the background. Not so sure about it. Fun project though! Thanks again for pointing me to it.
