I've been away...

  CAMPING!!!

Dryberry Lake (Ontario), far into the forest, 

3.5 hours from home...

We did a pit stop, looked at some 

of our maps, let the dogs out..

  Off the highway, onto a rugged road, 

about 2-3 miles long...

  Slow going... You can see our speed on the GPS.

 It took about 50 minutes off road,

and finally we get to the boat launch.

  We are off! My Bro and SIL ahead of us, for the 30-40 minute boat ride to find a camp spot...

 Weighted down with all our camp gear...

 Yup! I'm there! 8-)

 Bro's dogs love going for boat rides, 

and camping...

 Our fur-girls stayed at "doggy hotel" for the weekend, and sure happy when we 

picked them up again! 8-)

A bit of fishing done... not catches...

 A stop to check out another camp spot for future use, and the dogs checking things out...

 I've never seen so many loons together on the water... Though I only caught some on photo, there must have been around 25 together...

Because of the heat, we swam quite a bit...

 Blueberry bushes I discovered right around camp just before packing up...

 A waterfall from a higher level lake in the area that DH showed me on the way back to the dock to head on home yesterday...

It was the first time in my DH's boat, 

much to his pleasure...  

I got just a tad-sunburned...

I actually went swimming 4 times! If you know me, that doesn't happen very often, especially in lake waters... but it was so very clean and hot, 

I just had too!! 8-)

Very happy we had the screen tent 

cause the bugs were many!

We had a lightening show we watched far off in the distance one night, expected rain, thunder, and lightening, but ended up with a REALLY BIG wind storm at about 2:30am for about an hour, with only 2 minutes of spitting rain...

  It was a wonderful weekend!

Time to do laundry and clean up stuff!

Wildlife, plus Show and Tell...

 Driving to my cousins yesterday, on a busy highway, I had to stop for a "Goose Crossing". There were 30 of them! Lots of this Spring's babies, and their parents. Too cute... but not the mess they all make! lol!

My cousin showed me her first quilt project she was working on, and I didn't even think to take my camera out! Duh!! She was doing a wonderful job of it! 8-)

This is my friend Sandi's garage. She emailed a few photos of her new "pets" (circled in red) she just found in there... I think she mentioned there were 4 babies. Her cat is laying there in front...

 Don't know if there is a Momma around... Yikes!!! A delicate situation... 
 Sandi always has "something" going on at her place. I look forward to hearing what happens now... Good luck Sandi!! 8-)

Here is 1 show and tell from last night's Country Rose gathering... Pc is into making baby quilts, bumper pads, bed skirts just now for a new grandchild... This top still needs a couple of borders put on yet... Her own design...

Here is where the problem was. Somehow this whole section got flipped the wrong way...? 

I had to fix it!! 8-)

OMGosh!!! How did that happen!?!

Stitched together, borders on, stand on tip-toes to put it up on my display wall, snap a few photos to admire my work, and to post about it, and then I saw it!!! ...?... OH NO!!!

OMG!! How did I so not see that earlier in the day!?!? I'm usually the one that spots those kind of things as soon as I stand back from it!! I had it on the display wall before adding the borders to look at!!!! Arrrrgh!!!

Can you see it!?!

Do I take it apart tomorrow and fix it!?!?

Right now I am inclined to just leave it, put the Sun applique on it, and call the top done...?...? Sheesh!!!

I will sleep on it..

I worked so steadily on it today...

Big sigh... 8-(

On my display wall...

 Well, I got my rows done today for my 

grand-babies Sunlight, Sunbright quilt...

I probably would have had them all sewn together today, but I was short on my "stash" pink, to put them together as the pattern said (strip-pieced, tubed, cross-cut). I had to do a lot of picking and restitching to pull it all together. I only had to join 2 small pieces of pink to make 1 more square, to make that last row... 8-)

Yippee!!

Dl has created a challenge for herself, due to her overwhelming stash! She asked each of us to bring her 12 easy, 2-4 fabric patterns, for her to use up some of her stash! Great idea!!!

Wednesday Report!

First, I hope all my US family and friends had a wonderful 4th of July!! 8-)

For Grand-Baby (GB1) to come, I made a hat to go with the sweater a while ago...

 DD2 Momma and baby doing fine. Momma still working and dealing with swelling feet for the past month... Looking forward to Mat leave at the end of the month... We are making lists of what needs to be bought before baby joins us...

I had some friends join me yesterday for a day of stitching. This is Dw's project. She managed to sew all her strip pieces, and I cross cut the blocks for her... I think she ended up with 56 - 10.5" blocks... It will made a good size quilt!

I didn't do any stitching, but I did get all the pieces cut for GB1's quilt...

We also did some blogging stuff... Newbies!! 8-)

Major stress today!!!

I was doing some blog clean-up today, and ended up giving my heart a big workout!!! 

Talk about stress!!! Sheesh!!!

Keep in mind that my concentration level has been a challenge the last few years... OK?! 8-)

I have 5 blogs listed on my Dashboard
that I contribute to...

Here is how the day went...

Intentions were; To Exported all posts from blog "B", that was for the most part "inactive", to another blog "C"...

Only thing is I Imported it all to
the wrong blog, blog "A"...

2-hours to clean-up that mess on blog "A"

Done...

Ok... Start again!!

Exporting from blog "B" to
Import all to blog "C"... 

Yeah!!!! Looked thought it,
deleted a bunch of posts...

All is good! Done!!!

After I cleaned up all that I thought, "I might as well delete that first blog" blog "B"... only to delete the wrong blog, blog "E"!!! Augh!!! 

OK... Heart be still....

UN-deleted blog "E"...

Whew!!!

Then I deleted the right blog, blog "B"...

Good stuff!!!

Then I decided to remove myself as an "administrator" (helper)  to a friend's blog,
since she hasn't blogged in 4 months...

And then everything logged off...?...?...?

YIKES!!

Tried to sign back in 4 times!!!

Clammy cold hands and heart
beating out of my chest !

OH NO!!!!

Don't panic Myra! Don't PANIC!!!

The short end of this part is I had
to create a new password...

WHEW!!! And then I got back on... 8-)

Now I am down to 3 blogs!

Tis a good thing!!!
