Dad's Surgery...

Well, my dad had his surgery on his neck/spine this afternoon, and the doctor said it couldn't have gone better! All went very well, and Dad looks no worse for wear... Groggy, no pain cause of the pain killers... for now...
Thank God... 8-)

As of right now, all the warnings of what could go wrong hasn't happened, so we are hopeful that by tomorrow that hasn't changed...

Tomorrow he tackles getting out of bed...

Wasp Traps Work!

I had mentioned in my last post about an after wedding gathering in our back yard. I neglected to mention our uninvited guests. Wasps, and I mean lots of wasps!!! It figures that our outside gathering would be at the start of wasp season...

All the glasses of pop/wine attracted at the least 50 "uninviteds" during the afternoon. Many were trapped in the plastic cups we were using, but quite a few were trapped in our wasp traps once we poured some pop into them...

Due to the moisture in the traps, it is hard to see them, but there is at least 10-12 in each...
They do work!!! Thank goodness! 8-)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It is going to be a couple of busy days going back and forth to the hospital with mom, but if Dad is able to get around and such, he should be able to come home by Saturday/Sunday... Hopefully Monday at latest...
DD1 called this morn to say they reached their honeymoon destination, a private cottage somewhere in Wisconsin, and to see how her dear grandpa was...
Blessings DD1! 8-)
Back to getting my row for our Row Robin that is due for another exchange tomorrow evening...
Happy stitchings!
Myra
I'm glad the surgery went well. That must be a load off your mind. If your dad is as stubborn as mine he'll be up and about in no time.
Love and hugs Gina xxx
