Quilting machine rental day...

Supper/dishes done, a quick post now, as Dad needs me....

A good but exhausting day today...
A learning experience far from perfect...
All done in free motion...
Completely done in just 4.5-hours... including an 1-hour lunch break! 8-)

I am happy with it!

Mom is doing great! They may let her go home tomorrow...
Then my time will be extremely limited I'm sure...

Happy stitchings all!
Myra

Oh Myra, that looks like so much fun! Imagine that, quilting an entire piece in just a few hours! Amazing!

Good news about your mom.

I am so glad your mom is doing better!

Your quilting looks great! Is there any way they could raise the table for you when you quilt. You would find it so much easier with the belly bar up a little higher.

I think you should be proud! It isn't easy to learn a new skill, and a finish in a few hours? awesome!

I'm glad to hear that your mother is doing well. Which quilt shop are you at in the picture? I love that sun. Maybe I need one on my house quilt...

How fun was that?!?!? I'd love to give that a try some day. I'm sure it turned out wonderful and will soon be marked off your PhD list. - Marlene

I hope your mother continues to do really well when she gets home with you. You will be busy for several days. It is good that you are able to care for your parents.

Our local shop was renting out time on one of their quilting machines. I don't know if they still do. You have to take a class first on how to do it. I gave it some thought but have never pursued it further.

It looks like you did a great job especially the sunflowers in the outside border. Doesn't this make you want one for your own? I know I do! I hope all goes well with your parents.

It looks fantastic. I have not yet worked up the nerve to try the long-arm quilting machine at my LQS. You look like a natural!
