Retreat Weekend Photos...

In no particular order...

"Feb Retreat Group 2009"
Though it was a much smaller group this time, we had just as much fun as at the 2008 Nov Retreat!!! We had one retreat virgin there this time. She had a blast! 8-)

Here is M, our male host, and E, the head cook, J and J, our volunteer kitchen help! Great food, great help, great stuff!!! Thanks CSE team! 8-)

This is J's puzzle quilt that she was machine quilting most of the weekend.

This is Ls' Friday night wonder! Beautiful little panels that she arranged within black sashing...

Next is Ls' baby quilt that she needs to complete for a little one soon. It was made from a Fon's and Porter magazine. Since the photo some modifications were made to adjust errors... Hey! It happens! Right!?! 8-)

Here I am working with my Batik Jelly Roll... Fun stuff! Mistakes made, stitches ripped, just too much of an attitude of "go, go, go"... doesn't pay!!! 8-)

Quilt-as-you-go table topper done to the point of needed the binding hand stitched...

This flowery photo is of Pg's kit that she received as a gift from her daughter. It is called "Joy" by Pippa Moore of Kitambaa Designs, a Canadian designer.

Here we have Pg's wonderful quilt top she just happened to whip together in no time flat at the retreat! It is "Bricks and Stepping Stones" by Bonnie Hunter of Quiltville.

This is a 1/2 m. panel I just happened to win for my drawing of a Rail Fence quilt... If you click on the photo and look closely at the drawing, you will wonder why I won... ? ... We all drew them in the dark. Mine was drawn from the best 4 drawings... Now, what to do with the panel? Any suggestions?

OK Myra! No move photos of us in our Pajamas!!!

Dw was into fish all weekend... Somehow I did not end up with a photo of her progress... She had wonderful coordinating fabrics! 8-)

Here we have Yn sitting on a table with her Disappearing 9-Patches she made from some charm packs...

Vf got her paper pieced wedges put together. Love the fabrics she used! 8-)

Here again are out Quilt-as-you-Go table toppers I posted last night. In order from left to right are, Du's, Kh's, Yn's, Vf's, mine, and Sy's. What an array of fabrics/color combos!!!

Last but not least is our 14 year old volunteer cook's 2 creations. We found out at our Nov retreat that she had an interest in sewing and had made a couple of quilts, so we told her she had to bring them to our next retreat if she was working the kitchen again for us... What great pieces from a beginner hey!?! Way to go J!!!

The gals all had such a great time at the retreat, that they are now asking if I could look into booking a possible 3 to 5 day retreat! Addicted or whay!?!?! LOL!!! You can never get enough of a fun thing!!! 8-)

DH bulk this afternoon, just before he left for work, at my comment of another retreat in 2 weeks... LOL! "It's not on the calendar!" says he, to which I say, "It will be the next time you look at it!" 8-)

The fur-girls were majorly excited to see me come through the door late yesterday afternoon!

Well, maybe I should do a road tripo sometime..... lol!! You look like you all had a very good time and if people want to go for almost a week, it must have been a blast!!!!

Love the photo's!! And there are some projects I just might have to put on my 'hmmmmm' list. I have so many on on my "when are you goig to get to me!?!?' list that I have to get them so there is no fighting!!

I am glad you are back and I laughed that your new retreat is going to be on the calander by the time hubby gets back!!
I am looking forward to hearing all about that one too!!

I've never been to a retreat, however I'm not that far from Winnipeg. Looks like you had a wonderful time and accomplished a whole lot. Love the quilts.
