A Quilt Gathering Night...

Tonight was a gathering night! Boy did we have some good belly laughs! A few if us really needed that! 8-)

Although I have nothing but part of my basket of hexagons to show for myself, I do have a few show & tells of a some of our ladies...

Visiting friend Kh's blog today I saw a wonderful table topper she made on Saturday at a workshop of MPQ (Manitoba Prairie Quilter's Guild). It is done in the quilt-as-you-go method, something I haven't tried as of yet. What a fun looking pattern! This table topper photo is Yn's. Both Kh and Yn were stitching the binding on tonight... I am hoping that maybe Kh and Yn may do a tutorial for it at our February retreat at the end of the month... Hint, hint, wink, wink... 8-)

This tote-bag is Ls'. A lovely friend of her's made it for her! It fits a mid-sized cutting mat, ruler, a project, and when the bag is empty the backside has an ironing surface with that silvery fabric... Cool hey!?!

This large block is Sd's. What an eye catcher!!! 8-) I think she said she has 8 of these blocks done at home... One of her UFOs that her hubby said was time to get done. He is the hubby that helps her with her quilting... 8-)

I had a bit of a nervous scare on my way home from quilting tonight. I dropped Du off and then decided to stop by Safeway (grocery store) before heading home. To make what could be a long story short, I'll just say that a vehicle, from two cars parked over from me, followed me around the streets for about 5 minutes before they realized, when I went back into the Safeway parking lot, that I knew they were following me. I lost them there, but I still took a long way around to get home, and when I got there I went into the house very quickly... If they would have kept on following I would have driven straight to the police station... Talk about heart palpitations at the end of a day!!! Sheesh!!!
Blogging friend Lurline, from down under in Australia, is hosting a Happy House Swap. You can find the info for the swap right here... Lurline's Happy House wall-quilt it lovely, so go on and have a look-see! 8-)

You must check out Quilt Pixie's blog for her latest Friday Block. She has a wonderful "Friday Block Party" blog for participant's postings of last Friday's block. It's a lovely! It is called Wyoming Valley. What a great pattern! Love it! 8-)

That be it from me tonight!

Oh Myra, thats scary, I'm glad you are OK. Drive to the police station if that ever happens, thats what I was taught. Lurline's swap looks fun, I'm glad you girls can do it too now.

Looks like you girls had a great night. But not so good at the end. You will have to carry some hair spray or something in the car. Lucky you thought to go back to safeway.

Good thinking to go back to Safeway or the police station. That would have been scary - glad that you outsmarted them!

That is frightening!! Yet another good reason for women driving by themselves to have a cell phone with them! Glad you lost them and got home safe and sound!

Wow Myra, glad you got home OK.I stopped at my Safeway on the way home too.I'm just wondering if I would have been alert enough to realize someone was following me?My head is sometimes thinking about what I saw or heard at the quilt gathering and can be oblivious to all else around me.It's a good reminder to pay attention to your surroundings and not have your head wrapped up in quilting.
Good to see you last night.
Oh and I love the house blocks!!
