Interesting weather here...

I can't believe it, we have rain in February!!! I don't ever remember having freezing rain in February before!!! Makes for very, very poor driving conditions out here. You could skate on our front street, and in some areas they have been doing that for the last 2 days! Unreal!!! This weather also makes it somewhat foggy also, which can be trecherous already!!! There has been many unfortunate accidents due to these conditions, on highways, and in the city streets... 8-(

"Dear God, please take this wet weather to Australia, where they could really use it..."

Great photos complements of cousin Lia L. Thanks! 8-)

Sewing has been non-existent around here lately... 8-(

Thinking of all out there...
Take care...
Myra

Freezing rain is the absolute pits! You can drive on snow much better than you can on ice. I hope it is not building up on your trees. That can cause so much damage. I hope God is listening to you. Australia could sure use some rain. The fires there are a real tragedy....I tried to comment yesterday, but the isp did not cooperate. Loved the pic of the deer.

I love the pics of the trees. That was something I had never seen before living here - the frost on the trees. Yes, I realize yours is ice!! I am just saying it makes them looks so pretty!! Kelowna really didn't get cold enough for the frost we get here - but I love to look at the trees when the weather does such pretty things to them.

I had a friend say one part of Australia is flooding, the other buring.... if we could only get the two together..... Hmm, I really hope the wind goes back on it's self and the rain comes to the fire areas.

It is strange weather indeed. We went to town this afternoon to stock up on groceries and library books (for me) in case the predicted cold weather makes the roads impassable again. I'm even ready for a power outage with my treadle machine. The only danger would be No Coffee!

I think everybody's weather has been strange all winter long...all over the world. The ice looks pretty on the trees, but it is so dangerous for driving. Stay safe!

I haven't gone outside since the ice storm happened...our back steps and the sidewalk going to the garage is trecherous with ice. Have to go out tomorrow though and I hope it's better outside!

The weather every where seems to be so odd. I just saw a little piece on the evening news that was talking about how the birds are migrating in different ways because of it. Makes you wonder what the summer will be like. We just have to hope for the best!

Hi Myra, ice can be so beautiful and so dangerous at the same time. And down in Australia I'm sure they would welcome some of that rain.

Stay safe inside.

Haven't seen too much ice on the trees out here yet - they're too busy dripping! The roads have been interesting to say the least . . . I travel about 10 minutes up the highway each day and it's been very slow going. Luckily it seems that there is no one else going to work except me, so I don't have to worry about sliding into anyone. Committed I should be! Stay indoors when you can. - Marlene

Your pictures are beautiful. Stay warm and keep both feet on the bottom. Hard to do when you are skating on ice but very important.
