Australia...

Watching the news last night I was shocked with the devastation that many Australians are facing right now. With the flooding and fires, my thoughts and prayers go out to all, and especially to the many Australian blogging friends I've made...

I cried when I saw this happen and my thoughts and prayers go out there too from me and my family and animals.

It's almost surreal but I know it's horribly true :^(((

Our freezing rain here in Manitoba is a pain in the neck but is absolutely nothing compared to what's going on in Australia. My thoughts are with you all.

I just can not imagaine what this is like - or how these people are doing in this whole disaster. My heart just goes out to them every time I see the fires on the news and I wish I had a huge bucket of water that I could just pour from the sky.......
I really hope the winds blow back on themselves, or that it starts to just pour rain on them till it's all drowned out and the fire has no way to keep going.
they are in my thoughts.

I think we Australians are all sitting with a horrible black hole of grief and shock in the pit of our stomachs...our nation is weeping for the losses that continue to climb in number with each passing hour. May God in His mercy cover them in comfort and bring an end to this devastation.

I have just come across your blog Myra..what a wonderful blog. I am in Oz but not near the fires and the tragic events these people face and will remember for the rest of their lives. It is devastating and bigger than anything that has happened like this here in Australia..hugs Khris

Thank you so much Myra for your kind thoughts for our country. I live here in Victoria, luckily tonight we are all safe and my beautiful family is tucked into their beds, but I cannot sleep I am so very very sad and just cannot stop thinking about the devastation that our fellow Victorians are trying to survive. The death toll is now over 180 and rising, I truly hope that these souls are now in heaven surrounded by love after the horror, and that all of those left behind somehow have the strength and courage to go on.
Hugs from Australia,
Erica
