This and That from the week...

A few retreat photos from last weekend...

This is friend Dl's creation from the weekend.
It still needs a border...
It is a Swirly Girls Designs, "Focus Pocus" Pattern. Love it! Wouldn't it look great in Oriental fabrics!?!

Friend Ls' darling baby quilt in the making...
 Friend Yn's table runner...
Photo doesn't show its true rich colors...
Another of Yn's. This is from a class she took at the Fargo quilt show a couple weeks back...
Y finished it up at our retreat.
 Sometimes at weekend retreats,
you need a break from sewing... 8-)
This week I've been quilting my little TJ's baby quilt... Nope! Still not done!! Shame on me... but life seems to keep getting in my way of finishing this up!!! 8-(
I just have the borders to quilt,
and the binding to do now...

At my CCC group this week, we had our monthly BOM raffle. Eight and a quarter blocks. LOL!!
The quarter is a block promise, plus there is one more block, a blue one, that will be added for a total of 10 blocks...

These are the samples of October's BOM... Another thing to add to my list "to do soon"...
We went to DD2's. DD1 and her were making pierogies (me too some)...
All shapes and sizes it seems... 8-)
But mostly I was on baby TJ
watch/play/snuggle...
He's lost his hair on top his head... 8-(
See, I was supposed to have TJ's quilt done to bring to him yesterday... 8-(

Hope you all had a great week!

To my fellow Canadians,
enjoy your turkey/thanksgiving weekend!

Thanks so much for sharing all the wonderful projects from your retreat. It looks like it was great fun. Your grandson is so cute!!! I'm sure his quilt is worth waiting for.

Have a great turkey weekend yourself. That first quilt's pattern does have a decidedly oriental feel to it.
Enjoy TJ because little ones grow so very quickly.

Wow - the quilts and blocks look great but your grandson definitely outshines them all. When I met my husband my future MIL taught me to make pierogies. When I boiled them they did not fall apart and because of that she said "I would make a good wife". Ha ha ha! Happy Thanksgiving!!

I haven't been to a quilting retreat in years. Looks like you had lots of fun and there was some serious sewing done.
