Still Kicking Here...

Yes I am still kicking... Exhausted, but kicking. lol!
I'm having issues with "regrouping" from some of the pre-wedding related planning and activities, so DD1 is very clear with me about what I can and cannot do come her wedding weekend. "We want you in good form for the wedding day Mom!!!" Dealing with MH-Issues for 8 years now, and I think I've been holding up really well during this crazy year, for what I had imagined of how I'd be coping during this countdown stage, so that is a darn good thing!!! Oh yes!!! 8-)
ANYWAY.... here are....
Photos from the Bridal Shower last Sunday...
Here are the gorgeous cupcakes that maid-of-honor Mk made. Click on the photo for a closer look. Aren't they wonderful!?!
Petals made with mini marsh-mellows, cut on an angle, then sticky cuts dipped in colored candy sprinkles, and arranged on icing topped cupcakes... Too cute!!! Mk stayed up till 3am the day of the shower making them! You rock Mk!! 8-)

DD2 loves turtles, so DD1 had this turtle shaped bread made for our Broccoli Dip...
DD2 thought it was wonderful... Great idea DD1!!! 8-)

The buffet style lunch...
DD2 doing her thank yous, DD1 with Dad's head wear.
I think that "Dad", bought the hat special, to wear to/at the weddings...

We had a surprize at the shower for DD1 too...
We had a disguised box "suggestions for a happy marriage" for DD2's Shower, so DD1 thought, but in reality it was for cards with monetary gifts for DD1 as a shower gift. She can use the money to buy items in the States for her future household in Wisconsin, to avoid any problems at the border, and have less to move when the time comes...
She was very surprized!!! lol!
Got'cha girl!!! 8-)

To all the shower guests, I say a big THANK-YOU for your wonderful gifts for both our daughter's, and a big THANK-YOU to those that helped with things before, during, and after the event, to make the shower a success!!! Your time and efforts are all very much appreciated... 8-)

Check out the quilts on this post of Zlaty's! Awesome quilts and very inspiring!!! 8-)

LOVE those cupcakes and what a TERRIFIC idea to have that surprise for DD1. It will be a lot easier for her to buy in the States than to worry about GETTING stuff to the States!!!

Those cupcakes are fantastic! Don't know if I would have the patience, but would love to try to make them.

Those cupcakes are so pretty! The maid of honor did a wonderful job. The turtle bread was a sweet touch also! What a nice surprise for your DD2, too!

I am glad you enjoy the quilts from Hershey that I posted on my blog. It was an inspiring show.

Love the pics!! Lady you rock!! You have such a fantastic way of showing me (us) what is going on, and I love it, I love turtles too - I just might have to make myself some turtly bread!! Way to cute! Love the cupcakes!!
One thing I hope you are doing is - looking after yourself!!!!! (finger is pointing at you in a serious but fun way!!!) Do something special for yourself, bubble bath, curl up on the couch with relaxing musice or a fun movie and relax...... (I would say run away for a weekend at the spa, but hey, I can't even do that and I don't have weddings to make sure work out right!!!!) ((hugs)) Have a great weekend!!!

I can't believe those cupcakes. That gal could make a fortune selling them but they probably take too long to make...wonderful.
