Back from Lake of the Ozarks...

Stayed at my cousin's timeshare this past Spring Break, as we did last year, though the weather was very different... We had another wonderful stay with them there...
Cousin's wife has taken to quilting the last couple years, so when the guys go golfing out there, we shop, cut, and stitch... My father can't believe we bring our sewing machines on holidays with us... Well...if the guys can bring their golf-clubs with us, why not bring sewing machines!?!

(Below - Left) Is the mag photo (Quick Quilts - March 2010 - Raspberry Cheesecake)
that I really like, and (Right) is the fabrics I bought to give it a go...
(below) The big print I bought a couple years ago. The four fabrics on top I brought back
from the Ozarks. Not the greatest matches, but close enough to work.
I plan to make my brother-in-law a quilt with these. He likes bright happy colors.
I've got a few ideas, but haven't really committed to a pattern as of yet...

I also bought fabrics to make things for our new grandchild that is due to join us any day now.
Oh the anticipation...

Hope you all had a wonderful Easter with your families!!

Happy stitchings!

Myra

Still no spring here either. Instead we have a cold north east wind and a occasional flock of snow which is (thank god) melting as it touches the ground.
The house looks gorgeous and ofcourse you take you sewing gear with you! Duh! I Always take a project with me when on holiday.(even on the motorbike)
The new project fabric looks promising!!
