A day out...

It was a full day today! Met Pg at the mall and then set out to Economy Textiles, hadn't been there in a long while. Then to Marshall's Testiles for a look-see too. This is what I bought between the two places... I'm going to make a few carrot table toppers...
Then on to Olive Garden for lunch, followed by a trip to the Croft House Quilt Shop, and finally to friend Bb's open house/demo day, coffee, cake, etc.

Oh to dream to have a quilting frame and machine such as this... 8-)

Bb also had all kinds of creative
works from all kinds of sewers hanging all around the shop which we were to vote our favorites for certain categories, and best of all... Of course I was drawn to all that is quilty! And thus, my photos reflect that, but there were some lovely clothing, bags, embroidery, etc... Quite a few items were of friend's creations which I have posted about in the past... Here is a few items from the showing... I just have to menion, the quilt with the circles was apparently made by a male quilter... 8-)

My Wednesday Quilt night!

Once a month we miss out on using our usual gathering place due to the Community Club having their monthly meeting. Some times quilt friend Bb invites us to come to her Sewing Machine Shop at those times, which is fairly close by... Last night was one of those times, and I ended up buying some goodies while there...

I found some lovely brown and pink FQs, some Sulky 100% polyester invisible thread (I had borrowed Pg's at the retreat and loved it!), and a dark purple batik to use as the inner boarder for my Picket Fences quilt. I believe it will work quite well... 8-)

A few of our gals teach classes at Bb's shop, and hanging up on the wall there is Jr's YoYo table topper that she will be teaching... I think? Unless it is just hanging there for show and promoting the Clover YoYo maker... 8-)

Bb's daughter is also a sewer, and made this lovely quilt that is hanging there. Love those fabrics! 8-)

Jr left the shop, and forgot her 100m ball of stuff (can't recall what it is called) to make her fabric bowls. She is making these little bowls to hold candy at the guilds International Day event coming up in April... This red bowl was made by Vf last night...

These bowls were made by Bb and used around the shop and for samples. I bought myself 9m of this "stuff" to try my hand at making a fabric bowl... we shall see how that goes! 8-)

If not laying around in the sun in the living room, this is where the fur-girls lay while I'm doing things in my sewing room. Furry sidekicks! 8-)

Have any of you ever tried Rolo Ice-cream? Mmmmmm.... my fave!!! 8-)

Now, time got get something done today...
