Block 3 - The Puppy
If you hadn't read it yet...

Found some Holly Jolly fabric that I thought may finish off my Holly Jolly quilt nicer as the binding, and I got 3 flannels for a jean rag quilt. I've never worked with flannel in quilting. Made flannel PJs in the past... Also, there was a sample hanging in the shop that friend Pg and I thought was great, so I bought the book, and we bought some great fabric to ea
ch make one.
My sleeping beauties, the fur-girls, all tuckered out from going for long walks everyday this week... 8-)
Well, road trip done, and goodies to show... 8-)

I can't decide which block I like better. The angel is sweet but so is the little dog.
ReplyDeleteLovely blocks, Myra and how sweet are those puppies!

I made a simple rag quilt of flannel for hubby and he loves it and is always draping it around himself when watching TV. The most time-consuming part for me was snipping the fabric so it would get raggy. (Of course, the washing machine and dryer got LOTS of lint when washing it multiple times to get it to be even more raggy!) Glad you had a good shopping trip and enjoy seeing your blocks!
ReplyDeleteVery sweet quilt blocks!
ReplyDeleteYour blocks are adorable!
ReplyDeleteI am impressed! And I like the letters that are stitched. I have been wanting to do that. Very cool!
