I really like the look of them but they can take over a garden. I have been trying to get them out of my flowerbed since 1983 but every year one or two dormant seeds germinate and need digging out!

I also remember your Grandpa's gladiolas (or is that gladioli?). Every fall I think I'll plant some next year but forget each spring until I see them blooming in other gardens. I remember him giving bouquets of those to your Grandma and my Mom. That is the flower that I associate with your Grandpa!LiaLhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02124369085184884970noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6284543035208024305.post-60482613249205283942008-06-27T01:33:00.000-05:002008-06-27T01:33:00.000-05:00That Hollyhocks pattern looks fabulous -- and your...That Hollyhocks pattern looks fabulous -- and your quilt shop trip appears to have been very successful! :-)Cathihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02531639422553980153noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6284543035208024305.post-79867114396227733422008-06-27T01:00:00.000-05:002008-06-27T01:00:00.000-05:00Love the ladybird fabric.
