Back to get it but realized I was locked out of the house. I had the car keys but no house key as had come off the chain and was in my purse. I looked for the hidden key and could not find it. I had no cash for the toll road to get where I needed and the toll road is about the only way to go to get where I needed to be in time. No cell phone because that was in my purse. What to do? I thought about borrowing cash from the neighbor for the toll road and just going. I looked for the hidden key again. No luck. Decided to see if I could get in a window. Found one unlocked and crawled in. Retrieved my purse and headed out to teach. When I arrived home, I reached down in the car for the garage door opener and opened the garage. Door between the garage and house is unlocked. Here I could have done that all along as the car was open and the opener readily available! And the hidden key was where it was supposed to be. I just didn't reach in the right area. I was home alone that day and decided to have a shower. It's a good thing I didn't undress in my room and then go to the bathroom because....the bathroom door knob broke and I was locked in the bathroom. DH was not scheduled to come home for hours and hours! So I put my jammies on (no shoes) and climbed out of the little bathroom window (which had been painted shut, but my father-in-law fixed this just weeks before this incident) and went to my neighbours! I had to call my cousin to come and pick me up.Michellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03003240477157307248noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6284543035208024305.post-65557174025988789012009-06-16T21:20:49.891-05:002009-06-16T21:20:49.891-05:00Oh Myra, sorry to say, but I kind of got a chuckle...Oh Myra, sorry to say, but I kind of got a chuckle out of it too. I am sure your furbabies wondered why you didn't let them in out of the heat.LOL I did that once. I hate those kind of door knobs. I was lucky. Our kids were still home. I removed a screen and had my son crawl in the window and let us all in. LOL We were lucky that the window wasn't locked. I hope your day is better tomorrow. I think it's because I always tease my friends who rely on the phone lists in their cell phones and, therefore, do NOT have any other phone #'s committed to memory. I am one who DOES have #'s committed to memory, so I'd have been fine on a borrowed phone to call for someone with a key to let me in. I know it wasn't funny to you when it happened, but I did have a good chuckle over it. (Sorry about that....LOL....still laughing a bit here.)Pathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03930049919252042391noreply@blogger.com
