Bloggers Quilt Festival...

Amy, from Amy's Creative Side, is hosting the Blogger's Quilt Festival for Fall 2011. Click on the pic to go to her website to see lots of wonderful/gorgeous quilts, and try to leave comments when you visit these talented quilters! New blogging/quilting friends to be made, and lots of inspirational quilty goodness to see...

My entry for the quilt festival is
my "Summer Logs" quilt.
It was my first lesson in paper-piecing.
The logs are only 1/2" wide. The blocks are only 4" finished, and there is 36 of them! Tedious it was, but I love the outcome.
I also love the country look of
the appliqued flowers.
This quilt hangs in my living-room today...

You can see more of my quilts

I hope you enjoyed your visit! I'm sure enjoying my visits to the other quilter's blogs that have linked in to Amy's festival post!!

Happy stitching!

your quilt is lovely, and the logs are really just 1/2 inch wide? wow, it must have been a lot of work to make it, but the result is just stunning!

  6. Myra,
What a lovely log cabin- it would have been a challenging piece to do with such small logs. Paper piecing is lots of fun- I enjoy the technique other than having to take out the paper at the end.
Thanks for dropping by the blog and leaving a comment. I hope you will come again.
    Warmest regards,
    Anna
